Private tours to Belgium

Want to head farther South to our Belgian neighbor to explore romantic Bruges, lively Ghent, the cosmopolitan capital of Brussels, or sophisticated Antwerp? We can arrange that for you! Below are some private tour options to consider for a day trip - or a multi-day trip - from Amsterdam.

We’re happy to think along, and discuss your tour wishes and options with you.

You can travel effortlessly by train with a quick connection from Amsterdam, or we can arrange a car or coach for you and your group. Toms Travel Tours works closely with great private guides in each of these locations to make sure you’re in good hands all the way!

Charming Bruges (or Brugge)

If you want to visit Bruges but don't have time enough to overnight there, we organize a perfect private day tour to this Belgium gem for you! If you have more time, then why not stay a night or two?

Bruges is a beautiful town with picturesque cobbled lanes and dreamy canals. This medieval town has exceptionally photogenic market squares lined with soaring towers, historic churches, and old almshouses. Your private guide will show you the ins and outs of Bruges so that you can get the most of your time.

Tom took us to Bruges for a long day trip. He was great fun as well as an excellent guide. He was very attentive and efficient. He also took great photos of the family. At the end of the day we were sorry to leave him but glad to have met him.Mark -…

Elegant Ghent (or Gant)

A bustling student town, full of history and culture, Ghent makes for a fantastic day trip or multi-day trip! The imposing medieval Gravensteen castle, St. Nicholas Church, and the great St. Bavo Cathedral with Hubert & Van Eyck’s painting of ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’, are just a few of the incredible sights you can take in here.

Cosmopolitan Brussels

With so many EU and international institutions, universities, and companies based here, the city has something to offer everyone. History, culture, museums, gastronomy, nightlife, architecture, and more. You name it, you can find it in Brussels! Make it a day trip from Amsterdam or combine it with a visit to one of its smaller nearby towns, Ghent or Bruges!

Sophisticated Antwerp

The first thing you’ll notice about Antwerp is that it’s not the typical city in Belgium. You see, the city is home to many different cultures and is known for being a multicultural city that’s open to all. The city is also a major European art and fashion hub, and home to the largest port in Europe as well as one of the oldest stock exchanges in Europe. All of this means that Antwerp has a lot to offer!

Tom put together a wonderful package that included transfers to and from the airport to our hotel, a full-day excursion to Bruges, Belgium, a full-day tour of the Dutch countryside, and a half-day walking tour of Amsterdam. Thanks to Tom we were able to really make the most of our trip.
