Here’s a peek into our most popular itinerary for a day trip outside of Amsterdam.
During this private tour of the idyllic Dutch countryside, we drive through and visit some of the most beautiful traditional villages in Noord-Holland, like the fishing village of Marken. We make stopovers in less touristy gems, such as Broek in Waterland, and visit the famed cheese town of Edam.
We also explore the Beemster polder, a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its perfect design and how well it helped us Dutch to manage water in the past…and still to this day! If you like cycling, then we will make sure to enjoy a scenic bike ride too.
We also visit a cheese and clog farm where you will learn about these famous Dutch products and, of course, taste the delicious aged cheeses. Finally, we will enter an incredible 400-year-old working windmill, learn about its ingenious techniques, see the mellow cows grazing in the flat meadows, and enjoy more of the Dutch countryside along the way!
This private tour can be arranged for 5 hours, or for a more relaxed 7 hours where we have time to enjoy a long lunch.
Which will it be?
